April 15, 2013 – Music lovers will have the opportunity to experience a unique live concert inside a wine cellar featuring a performance by three of the world’s finest chamber musicians. The internationally acclaimed Jacques Thibaud String Trio will perform their only U.S. wine cellar concert on Saturday, June 22, at Peaceful Bend Vineyard in Steelville, Missouri.

The wine cellar concert is sponsored in part by Brewer Science, a Missouri-based technology manufacturing company that has a tradition of appreciating creative, inspirational fine arts performances. “These musicians are exceptional masters of their craft,” said Dr. Terry Brewer, founder and CEO of Brewer Science. “They have performed around the world receiving tremendous international acclaim and enthusiastic reviews. We are excited to bring the Jacques Thibaud String Trio to Missouri and to showcase their music in a truly unique venue such as the wine cellar of one of our region’s best vineyards. We are pleased to share this experience with the public and are looking forward to an extraordinary evening of music and entertainment.”

The Jacques Thibaud String Trio is comprised of Hannah Strijbos, viola; Burkhard Maiss, violin; and Bogdan Jianu, cello. These world-class musicians are from the Netherlands, Germany, and Romania, respectively. The original international trio was founded at the Berlin School of Art in 1994. The newest member, violist Hannah Strijbos, joined the group in 2012.

The Jacques Thibaud String Trio has participated in some of the most prestigious festivals in Europe, including Belgium’s Musica Mundi, Gidon Kremer’s Echternach Festival in Luxembourg, and Denmark’s Roskilde Schudert Festival. The Washington Post has described the trio as “Elegance and finely-gauged balance between instrumental voices…” and The New York Times proclaimed, “These musicians are clearly on a mission to bring attention to the neglected string trio repertory. But they are also having fun. It’s the best combination. Success is sure to come to them.”

Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6:30 pm, and the concert will begin at 8:00 pm on Saturday, June 22, at the Peaceful Bend Vineyard, located at 1942 Highway T in Steelville, Missouri. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased at Peaceful Bend Vineyard, Kent Jewelry, or Arts Rolla. Seating is limited. For more information about this concert, call Arts Rolla at 573-364-5539 or Peaceful Bend Vineyard at 573-775-3000.

This concert has been made possible with the underwriting support of Brewer Science, Peaceful Bend Vineyard, the Missouri Arts Council, and Arts Rolla.
