Brewer Science Supports the Arts Through Pure Enjoyment Exhibit

August 05, 2016 – Springfield, Mo. – Brewer Science, Inc., of Rolla, MO, will again join the Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) and Arts Rolla in hosting the Pure Enjoyment exhibit, an eclectic exhibit featuring approximately 90 pieces of original art. This exhibit will take place at The Creamery Arts Center in Springfield, MO, during the month of October, and the public is invited to attend the opening reception during the First Friday Art Walk, October 7, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Pure Enjoyment exhibit, now in its ninth year, will feature juried artwork, including photography and three-dimensional art, submitted by the artists for the “pure enjoyment” of creating art unrestricted by thematic or genre requirements. Denene Taliaferro, a prominent Springfield artist, will serve as the exhibit’s juror.

Selected artwork will be displayed from Friday, October 7, through Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Viewing hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Dr. Terry Brewer, founder and CEO of Brewer Science and the 2014 recipient of the Missouri Arts Council award for Philanthropy, continues to be an advocate and supporter of the arts. Commenting on his company’s ongoing sponsorship of Pure Enjoyment, Dr. Brewer said, “Brewer Science is a global technology company. The creativity that inspires art and the creativity that generates scientific and technological innovations are closely related. Supporting opportunities in our community that stimulate originality, creativity, and diversity is part of Brewer Science’s mission. Cultural events, such as Pure Enjoyment, enrich communities and create opportunities for both economic and personal growth.”
