Growing Global Award from World Trade in St. Louis, MO
On September 5, 2003, Brewer Science, Inc., headquartered in Rolla, MO, received the Growing Global Award from the World Trade Center located in St. Louis, MO. Brewer Science, Inc. was nominated for the award by the Meramec Regional Planning Commission in recognition of the corporation's leadership in international exporting in both the product and service sector of the microelectronics marketplace.
Frank Brunton, Managing Director of Brewer Science's Chemical Business Group accepted the award on behalf of the corporation at the Growing Global International Luncheon held at the Ritz-Carlton in St. Louis, MO. "We are honored to be the recipient of this award and look forward to many more years of building international relationships," said Brunton. "We have challenged ourselves to know no boundaries, and international trade is one of the many ways that we have been able to add value and provide technology solutions to our micro- and optoelectronics customers."

Brewer Science, Inc., founded in 1981 by Dr. Terry Brewer, is a leading supplier of specialty chemicals and instruments into global microelectronics and optoelectronics industries. Dr. Brewer developed and commercialized the first organic anti-reflective coatings used in the manufacture of microprocessor, memory, and application-specific microchips.

While anti-reflective coatings are the main products of Brewer Science, Inc. the corporation is expanding its product portfolio into new areas to include 1) micro electromechanical systems (MEMS), 2) bio-MEMS related to biological and infrared sensors, 3) optoelectronic materials for solid-state color sensors and displays, and 4) specialty polymers for use in the semiconductor or other industries.
