July 11, 2013 – Rolla, MO –Science, technology, and fitness will converge on August 3, 2013, with a 5K run/walk to benefit the Belle and Vienna schools’ science programs. Brewer Science, sponsor of Team Up for Science, today announced that registration is now open for the event, which will also include a Science Family Fun Day at the scenic Prairie Star Restoration Farm.
"Whether you are running, walking, cheering for your friends and family, or simply enjoying the activities and beautiful surroundings at Prairie Star, this will be a great event for an even greater cause," said Dr. Terry Brewer, president and founder of Brewer Science. "One of our missions at Brewer Science is to support the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. This event will help us raise resources for science programs at the Belle and Vienna schools. When we invest in our science students, science teachers, science programs, and science classrooms, we are making an investment in American innovation and our economic future."

All run/walk participants will receive a t-shirt, chip-timed race, and entry into the Family Fun Event. Team plaques will go to the top three teams of three. Individual medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group by gender. Age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
