Brewer Science Leads Discussion on New Future for Manufacturing

April 21, 2014 – Austin, TX – Brewer Science will be at the center of the conversation about the vast potential for the Internet of Things to transform the world of manufacturing through the creation of new products that will connect homes, businesses, vehicles, appliances, and more to new Internet-connected objects.

Brewer Science will present key industry insights at the SEMI Texas Spring Forum in Austin, Texas, on April 22. SEMI is the premier global industry association serving the manufacturing supply chain for the micro- and nanoelectronics industries.

“Brewer Science isn’t satisfied with simply being on the ‘cutting edge’ of new and emerging technologies,” explained Dr. Terry Brewer, founder and president of Brewer Science. “We are focused on reaching forward into the future and bringing that future back to the present with new products that people never dreamed possible. The Internet of Things isn’t a concept or prototype. It’s tomorrow. We are dedicated to ensuring our customers are first in line for the newest big thing as we continue innovating to create the next big thing.”

Participants in the SEMI Texas Spring Forum will hear from Brewer Science’s Semiconductor Business Unit Director Darron Jurajda, who will discuss the impact and opportunities of the Internet of Things on the semiconductor supply chain. Topics will include industry changes driven by the Internet of Things and potential pathways forward to enable this exciting new future.

The benefits from the Internet of Things wave are enormous, with unit volume projections of 20 to 75 billion devices by 2020. The Internet of Things will change the face of chip manufacturing, from extension of fab life spans to the way ICs, MEMS, and sensors are designed and produced. Join experts from Applied Materials, ARM, Brewer Science, Cisco, Freescale, and Intel as they discuss the vast potential for the Internet of Things and how it will make our society smarter and better connected.
