NCI is one of the oldest and most respected Japanese chemical companies. They have a well deserved reputation for supplying state-of-the-art materials for the manufacture of liquid crystal displays. SUNEVER materials are polyimide alignment layers designed to give stable high pre-tilt angles for TN, STN and AM-LCD's. The NHC range of inorganic hard coats are a series of silica or silica / titania based coatings designed to prevent short circuits between the upper and lower ITO electrodes in an LCD cell. The AC range of Planar Over Coatings are designed for over coating color filters. The LR range of anti-reflective films provide very low reflectivity and low cure temperature. The SUNEVER range is completed by SE-812, an optically transparent polyimide which is used as an insulation layer, passivation coating or buffer coating for semiconductors.
Nissan has an aggressive R&D program geared to fulfilling the requirements of the next generation of liquid crystal display technologies. It offers a range of RN materials that reflect the needs of researchers looking at Ferro-Electric (FE) and Anti-Ferro-Electric Liquid Crystal materials, In Plane Switching (IPS) mode, homeotropic alignment and non-rubbing alignment. Additionally they also offer positive working photosensitive polyimides.
