Brewer Science Quadruples Commitment to Printed Sensor Systems Research at Jordan Valley Innovation Center

Company Expanding Research Space for Printed Sensor Systems

December 20, 2017 – Springfield, MO – Brewer Science is quadrupling its research operations at Missouri State University’s Roy Blunt Jordan Valley Innovation Center (JVIC) located in Springfield, Missouri. The expansion brings the total footprint at JVIC to approximately 20,000 square feet.

“Our researchers continue to lead the way in new discoveries and innovation in printed electronic sensor systems,” said Dan Brewer, Executive Director Intangible Assets for Brewer Science.  “JVIC’s state-of-the-art facilities are environmentally friendly and have provided the space we need to remain at the forefront of nanotechnology and carbon-based products. Our commitment to JVIC began in 2005 when the facility was undergoing major construction to transition from an MFA milling facility to a seven-story, state-of-the art research facility. As we move new technology from an idea to a product, we require more room. Our expansion has also allowed us to bring great jobs to the region and innovative products to the global marketplace.”

Brewer Science was one of the first companies to seek research space at JVIC.  Since 2007, Brewer Science has quadrupled its research operations at JVIC, with expansions in 2011, 2014, 2015, and once again in December of 2017.

Brewer Science will use the additional space to grow the research capabilities for printed electronic sensor systems and for providing space for additional talent that will accelerate the timeline for research and product development.

JVIC is a state-of-the-art facility affiliated with Missouri State University that partners with technology leaders like Brewer Science to provide opportunities for Missouri State University students to gain hands-on experience and to encourage innovative product development.
