of household waste were collected this year during our annual waste collection event in Rolla, Missouri. Partnering with waste disposal companies and volunteer crews, Brewer Science collected more than 19 tons of appliances and electronics, along with 3.99 tons of tires in 2018 that would have otherwise been a part of a landfill.

32.068 TONS

of waste materials were prevented from winding up in a landfill during 2018. This is one initiative that helps Brewer Science achieve and maintain Zero Waste to Landfill certification by turning garbage into electricity through Brewer Science’s giant trash compactor.

104.64 TREES

were saved in 2018 utilizing Brewer Science’s Shred-it program. Through this program, 4.36 tons of paper have been recycled to maintain Zero Waste to Landfill certification.

386,144 lbs

“We look at [printed electronics] as an opportunity to use our materials expertise and our materials competency … and build brand new devices, sort of from the bottom up. We’re going to be taking unique materials we invent, using those to create brand new device architectures, then putting those devices into subsystems, components, maybe even complete systems that Brewer Science will be selling into the marketplace. This is a unique approach to a certain extent for printed electronics, but we believe it’s a very strong approach for us as a company.”

“Serving as an intern in the lithography and beta groups was a wonderful opportunity that gave me a complete view of the company’s culture, which I still enjoy to this day. It was a wonderful experience to get involved in a community that I am now part of – I was able to work on many different projects, travel, get to know people and present on science to elementary schools in the area. As a result of the internship, I now enjoy a full-time position and get to continue being a part of the wonderful technology that Brewer Science is advancing.”
